St Peter's College
Welcome Print E-mail

So, you’re considering applying to St. Peter’s. It would perhaps be biased of me to say that this is an excellent choice, but honestly – it is.

With a reputation for being open and friendly, St. Peter’s welcomes prospective students from all educational, social and geographical backgrounds and is committed to providing education at the highest levels. Accepting students to read in a wide range of subjects creates a diverse educational environment here, though you are never far from someone on your course that’s in the same boat as you as far as work goes. Our college library is very well stocked and accessible by all students in St. Peter’s 24 hours a day.

It’s not all work though. St. Peter’s students are characterised by their ability to maintain a good work/life balance. In college we have the junior common room (JCR) as our main communal social space and also one of the best, student-run college bars in Oxford. Extracurricular activity is encouraged, whether your interests lie in sports, music, theatre or other arts. Throughout the year the college Entz Officer organises social events including the, 'you-have-to-go-to-one-to-really-appreciate-them' bops along with other things to bring the students together and give us a break from our hard work.

It’s not possible however to describe in words just how good as a choice of college St. Peter’s is.

More information about applying to St. Peter’s can be found under this tab, and it’s also worth going over and taking a look at the college’s official website at http://www.spc.ox.ac.uk.

If you have any questions related to applying to St. Peter’s or any other admissions issues please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and I shall either respond or pass your query on to the relevant college officer who will be happy to help with your enquiry. The students of St. Peter’s look forward to the possibility of you coming and joining us in the future.

Best wishes for the applications process
